Dr. Shields is a board-licensed, naturopathic family pracitioner who provides acute, chronic, and preventive
health care. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Indiana University and earned her doctorate in medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. In addition to the standard medical curriculum, her studies included homeopathy, medicinal herbs, clinical nutrition, alternative lab testing, pharmacology, naturopathic manipulation techniques, hydrotherapy, and natural childbirth. Dr. Shields has received advanced training in homeopathy, Nutritional Response Testing, craniosacral therapy, applied kinesiology, IV therapy, iridology and injection therapies for pain and dysfunction.
